Bishkek city turns 146 years old

On April 29, 2024, Bishkek city turns 146 years old! Bishkek was founded in 1878 on the site of the former Pishpek fortress. Then in 1925 it was renamed Frunze. After Kyrgyzstan gained Independence, the city had to be renamed. In 1991, Bishkek received its modern name.
